Joe Garza Hosts Private Campden Roundtable
Campden Wealth, a company serving family businesses through events and publications such as Campden FO and Campden FB recently invited Attorney Joe Garza to host a roundtable discussion about estate planning in New York.
The roundtable, titled “Hold or Sell: Preparing the Family & Business for Future Liquidity Events or Multigenerational Transfer,” was held at the Harmonie Club in March. Garza spoke with an exclusive group of family business owners about coordination of family estate plans, income tax planning, and strategic preparation of ownership structure.
Emphasizing the importance of early, informed decision making, Garza spoke about how families can prepare their business for sale by operating with greater tax efficiency.
Guests included family business owners who shared their experiences and insights gained from successfully navigating the sales process. The discussion explored ways to sell one’s business at a price that reflects the company’s true value without greatly increasing tax liability from a resulting corporate gain.
The roundtable was part of an invitation-only event series sponsored by Campden Wealth Events, created as a private forum for the world's leading family business owners. Campden Roundtables have been hosted in major cities ranging from London to Dubai since 2010.
